Colum's Reindeer Tour
A storytelling website for a memorial fundraising campaign, following a reindeer plaque around the world to raise money for Friends of the Cancer Centre.

The challenge
Colum McNally built handmade wooden reindeer and sold them to raise money for cancer-related causes. Ten years after his death, his friends and family launched a world tour for a reindeer plaque made in his memory. They needed a website that told Colum's story with warmth, tracked the plaque's journey, and made it easy for anyone to get involved or donate to Friends of the Cancer Centre.
The solution
I designed a travel-journal aesthetic - compass roses, map grids, passport stamps and boarding passes - so every visit feels like following the plaque on the road. The site covers the world tour, community stories, Colum's story, fundraising and a simple four-step guide to hosting the plaque. Donations go straight to the campaign's Givewheel page, so the site never handles payments.
Results
- Distinctive, memorable design that honours Colum's legacy
- Clear routes to donate, get involved and share a story
- World tour and news sections ready to grow as the plaque travels
